Great sounding original early 60s issues on thick
vinyl. Wonderful lower midrange. -3n is the lowest
stamper number, and would be a tube cut. Garrod &
Lofthouse flipback cover & Emitex sleeve.

All recordings were made using the exact same signal path and levels. A Technics SL1200 Turntable, with an
Audio Technica AT 150MLX Cartridge, was used for the transfer. The tracks were normalized, and very
minor level adjustments made, but were not digitally processed any further before transferring to wav files.

Most of my records are in excellent condition, but clips from noisier copies may be included here in order to present certain pressing variations. Most of
the clips were transferred under identical conditions. However further level adjustments may be necessary for accurate comparison. This page features
more common pressings, and is a work in progress. Each wav file contains a light audio watermark. Comment and critique is welcomed.......... Enjoy!

Pressed in both 1982 (M Matrix) and '86 (D Matrix)
and here you can compare the two. They do sound
different, though my 82 has a bit of surface noise.
Super quiet vinyl on these issues. The YEX Matrix is a
misprint. Should be XEX.

From the Blue Box BC-13 Collection. To my ear the
htm (Harry T. Moss) cuts have more clarity.
Harry only stared used this ID in the 70s.

1982 UK Mono Reissue, also part of the Mono
Collection BMC-10 Box. Great sounding pressing
with stamper numbers that vary. On thinner vinyl
than the originals pressings.

Original - My copy is not in good shape, with quite a
bit of surface noise. These UA pressing don't sound
very good either, with quite a bit of added echo.

Original US Capitol rainbow press, which have added
echo and don't sound near as good as the UK
pressings. This is a Jacksonville Illinois press.

Original US Capitol Rainbow press. This is an East
Coast, Scranton PA Pressing identified with the IAM
Triangle inside the deadwax, and the #3 on the cover.

I don't have a good copy of this issue. The "And I

stereo reverb added. I'll add a track later.

1970s Orange Capitol Press. These 'Mastered by

the US Beatles regular issue pressings. W for Wally

This is the first Apple issue with the Capitol Logo.
US pressing vary greatly in sound sound. This late
60s Apple issue sounds Much brighter than others.
