All recordings were made using the exact same signal path and levels. A Technics SL1200 Turntable, with an
Audio Technica AT 150MLX Cartridge, was used for the transfer. The tracks were normalized, and very
minor level adjustments made, but were not digitally processed any further before transferring to wav files.

Most of my records are in excellent condition, but clips from noisier copies may be included here in order to present certain pressing variations. Most of
the clips were transferred under identical conditions. However further level adjustments may be necessary for accurate comparison. This page features
more common pressings, and is a work in progress. Each wav file contains a light audio watermark. Comment and critique is welcomed.......... Enjoy!

Common 70s Black labels. This one has low
stamper numbers. Possibly a tube cut.

. Pressed in both 1982 (M Matrix) and '86 (D Matrix)
The YEX Matrix is a misprint. Should be XEX.
You can compare both an 82 & '86 press on the "Hard
Day's Night" Page.

1982 UK Mono Reissue, also part of the Mono
Collection BMC-10 Box. Great sounding pressing
with stamper numbers that vary. On thinner vinyl
than the originals pressings.

The cover of "Yesterday and Today" is not the only thing "Butchered"
on this release. "Dr. Robert", "And Your Bird Can Sing", and "I'm
Only Sleeping" are fake Duophonic Stereo, made from the mono mixes.
Apparently Capitol had the proper UK Stereo mixes, but decided to use
the Mono Duophonic anyway..... Later issues of Yesterday and Today
have all of the proper stereo mixes..
~ DAVE DEXTER INTERVIEW ~
Comments; - This pressing is quite noisy, but
you can easily hear how 'different' these fake
stereo mixes sound.
